Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity works with families and volunteers to build homes and strengthen our communities.  We build together because we live together and want to put Jesus' teachings to work in the heart of Texas and Texans.

From the Building Committee
We had a phenomenal workday Saturday, June 8! Steven Lively was the site leader and Noe Luna, Joseph Selem, and Clint Reed led volunteer crews. We had 15 volunteers including Ana our homeowner.  Thank you to all who came out to help us! Steven, Blake, and Nick got the porch under decking and smart siding sheets installed. Fred and Ernest got windows flashed and trimmed out. Noe and Lupe finished tyveking gables and trim work. Clint and Marcus got trim on and most of the back siding installed. Tommy Matthews and Seth Moore were on hand to help in every capacity. (These gentlemen have servants’ hearts and we are most grateful for their dedication!) Ana and Miguel worked on the house and the yard. SurePoint ER provided a delicious lunch for our volunteers. Thank you SurePoint ER!

Rod and Candy Rutledge of Rutledge Electric came out to get started on electrical install. They have marked switch and outlets.

Travis from Texas Plumbing Services got the plumbing vented, and Cashon A/C Inc. will be getting out soon to do the HVAC.

Thurman Roofing crew came in Saturday afternoon and installed our roof at cost so we are dried in!!! Yay!!! Thank you to James and his crew.

This Saturday Toby O’Neal of TXP Construction and Remodeling will be leading the work crew to continue the siding install. We had a great construction-experienced crew last week and most said they plan to be back this week, as well. In the following weekends and weather depending, exterior paint will start after siding and while we wait for the interior to be insulation readied.

From the Fundraising Committee
Jody Lee Caudle of Texas Homegrown Radio has agreed to be the MC for our singing competition! This is going to be big. You'll want to be there on October 4th.

From the Erath County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors
July 2019 will mark the installation of our 2019-2020 Board. Thank you to all who served in the past and welcome to a new year with the following officers and members: Casey Cumby President, Lori Hurford Vice-President, Gary Sult Treasurer, JoAnn Phillips Secretary, Joyce Holland, LeAnn Watkins, Stacy Morrison, Chelsea Hansen, Charli Prater, Mandy McGee O’Neal, Joseph Selem, and Brittany Thurman. We look forward to working in our community and putting our motto into action: “Together, we build better lives!”
