Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity works with families and volunteers to build homes and strengthen our communities. We build together because we live together and want to put Jesus' teachings to work in the heart of Texas and Texans. May 1, 2019 From the Building Committee The weather continues to stymie the progress on the Gonzales home but we were able to finish cleaning up the paint and yard at our Sloan storage house on Saturday. We extend a big thank you to Joseph Selem for leading our group of volunteers! The extended weather forecast promises a lot more rain so a workday this Saturday looks doubtful. Please continue to follow us on Facebook for updates. From the Fundraising Committee We are working on creating an Erath County Habitat for Humanity signature fundraising event. There are some really exciting ideas. More on this as plans come together. Thank you Studio 6:14 Dance for pledging to donate 10% of your tuition revenue for the months of April AND May to Erath County Habitat! We welcome other Erath County Businesses to pledge their support as well. If you or your employer are interested in doing so, please send us an email at[email protected]. We will feature your pledge in our newsletter and on our webpage at ErathCountyHabitatforHumanity.org. From the Public Relations Committee ECHH has signed up to Adopt A Spot through Stephenville Parks And Recreation Department. Look for our sign along the Bosque River Trail! We look forward to working with SPARD and for putting action to our motto: “Together, we build better lives!” We are also preparing a Builder’s Basket for Stephenville Optimist Club’s Fundraising Auction this Friday May 3rd. We love lending a hand in support of other Civic organizations! From the Gratitude Committee This week we give thanks to a local church and memorial fund. Thank you for your contribution to helping make decent housing affordable and lives better. Thank you to First Christian Church of Stephenville for their contribution of $700. Thank you to the Birdie Hartsough Frey Memorial Fund for their contribution of $500. As always, thank you to each volunteer that gives his/her time and labor to Erath County Habitat for Humanity. Thank you also for the positive words and testimonies you share in the community about Habitat and the difference we all make when we work together. We are blessed to call Erath County home and to build homes in this generous, edifying community!

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity works with families and volunteers to build homes and strengthen our communities. We build together because we live together and want to put Jesus' teachings to work in the heart of Texas and Texans. From the Building Committee We will not have a workday April 20th so that we all may spend the Easter Holiday weekend with our families. Happy Easter! Weather did not participate with us yet again last weekend, so we were not able to have a Saturday workday. TXP Construction came out Friday and worked on framing. Thurman Roofing will begin our roof soon. Thank you all for all of your hard work and dedication and here’s to hoping the rain comes on Sundays instead of Saturdays for a while. From the Fundraising Committee Proceeds from the Garage Sale have continued to come in and we are now close to $3,000! Thank you to everyone who has come out to support Erath County Habitat for Humanity. Our fundraising committee is in discussions on creating a signature event. Stay tuned because we are hoping to reveal a showstopper! From the Gratitude Committee This week we are thankful for our monetary donations and donations of time and services. Thank you to Erath County United Way for their 2018 donation of $5,000. Thank you to Mulberry Manor for their 2019 donation of $1,000. Thank you to Zonata Club of Stephenville for their 2019 donation of $250. Thank you to TXP Lawn & Landscape for donation of services to mow our Walnut properties. From the Public Relations Committee ECHH has been hard at work on creating more ways for you to get in contact with us. We now have our new website up and running. Thank you to Nirjal, a Stephenville High School student, who created and organized our new page: www.ErathCountyHabitatforHumanity.org |
